The Proclamation.

It is accomplished. The great act of President Lincoln's Administration, which will cause it to be remembered with honor through future ages, has been performed. All honor to the man who, in the face of obloquy and reproach, of attraction and misrepresentation, invoking "the considerate judgment of mankind and the gracious favor of Almighty God," dares to do right!

For want of space we defer further comment on this great act to a future time. It is enough to know that the rebellion has received a staggering blow.
